Intelligent Kin Immersive Exhibition

We needed a central exhibition for Berlin New Media Week. A space where we could curate artists that are exploring the new media and electronic art in diverse ways. And, a meeting place that would unite the festival's program of 14 venues and 35 events.

Taking place in the iconic MaHalla, Intelligent Kin was an exhibition of digital works that explored new forms of intelligence, perception, and relation. Featuring immersive installations, interactive systems, and speculative AI artworks, Intelligent Kin explores how intelligent systems- digital, biological, and imagined- reshape our sense of creature-hood, relationships to one another, and what it means to evolve.

Anchored in three themes- perception, evolution, and relation- the exhibition invited both reflection and disorientation. It is at once meditative as it is strange, asking not just what machines can do, but what kinds of beings we are becoming with them.

On select days, the exhibition hosted audiovisual and music performances. Never the same experience twice. From Sep 10, Intelligent Kin opened for Berlin Art Week. The exhibition was a central point for our community to gather and connect.
